Kaeding passes physical for Chargers, to be released soon

Nate Kaeding, Mike Scifres AP

Nate Kaeding moved one step closer to being a former Charger Tuesday, passing his physical so that he can be placed on waivers, according to Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego.

The kicker was placed in IR last week with a minor-injury designation, meaning he had to pass a physical before he could be released. Apparently, the groin injury suffered Sept. 28 is all better now.

Nick Novak has replaced Kaeding again this season for the Chargers, but Kaeding’s not expected to be out of work long.

Nope – He is going to the Colts. We REALLY need a corner and honestly THIS would make much more sense than that whole “Justin King experiment”

If he can kick it out of the back of the end zone on kickoffs I’d say lions should sign him. Tired of seeing Hanson barely kick it to the goal line every time.

It is nearly impossible to read of a fan’s displeasure with a kicker that owns the record(s) Hanson does. Or, with a kicker who has won the games for his team that Kaeding has won. Of course, if you are 10 or 11 years of age, you might not know. Or, if you have selective memory, you might not know. Or…….
