Nate Kaeding moved one step closer to being a former Charger Tuesday, passing his physical so that he can be placed on waivers, according to Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego.
The kicker was placed in IR last week with a minor-injury designation, meaning he had to pass a physical before he could be released. Apparently, the groin injury suffered Sept. 28 is all better now.
Nick Novak has replaced Kaeding again this season for the Chargers, but Kaeding’s not expected to be out of work long.
