While Frank Gore is the #1 back in he NFL with 5.5 yards per carry on 119 carries, Kendall Hunter is averaging 5 yards per carry on 60 touches...and his carries are in obvious running-out-the-clock scenarios that are against a stacked box.

According to Footballoutsiders.com, Gore is the best RB in the NFL outside of CJ Spiller -- but Kendall Hunter is 4th.

falcons have only beaten one team with a winning record (4-3 denver)

stir, stir, stir….

True, but others have lost to those same teams when the Falcon's didn't.

Just picking one of the other teams at the top, the NY Giants, they've also only won one game against a winning team (49ers) while the rest of their wins are to losing record teams too. The only difference is both their 2 losses are to teams with losing records (Cowboys & Eagles).

Not saying the Giant's aren't a great team. As a Falcon's fan they scare the hell out of me and hope the game against them in week 15 is a good game and the Falcons can get some redemption for that embarrassment last year. I'm just saying at the end of the day it doesn't matter what your opponents record is and whether they win or lose their other games, it only matters what YOUR record is.

You mean the Steelers who are currently in second place in their own division…… THOSE Steelers?
----------------------------------
As the Steelers and others have proven, you don't have to win your division to win it all. You just have to make the playoffs and get hot.

Sure, winning the division would be nice, playing at home for a game or two would be great, but the home team doesn't always win (boy, do we Steeler fans know that tune). I can offer up a few more cliches on this subject, but i don't want to upset the fine dinner I just had.

Keep underestimating Pure Steel. Everyone is in for another reckoning. Steeler Nation will get #7 and walk off into the sunset. Back into your places you go.

The Cutler haters and the "Ortonization" of Cutler I'm hearing from lately is ridiculous. The guy is 25-9 in the last two seasons and a half. And before you say "Yeah thanks to the defense" or "Yeah but his numbers are average", remember that this team was 7-3 last season, well on their way to at worst 11-5 and a playoff birth before he got hurt. The Bears went 1-5 with the weak part of their schedule without him.

Like it or not, Jay Cutler is the very definition of a MVP. Does he have to play better against the Pack? Yes but that's no different than Manning having to get through the Pats years ago. Jay Cutler is the truth.

I have a question for fellow football junkies: if the Chiefs maintain anything close to this staggering ineptitude throughout the season, will they be remembered as among the very worst teams in the history of the game despite their one win? To trot out an oft-repeated but astonishing stat: they haven’t led for a single second in regulation…and we’re in week eight! That’s almost impossible to accomplish. I swear that I’m not a Chiefs “hater”; I just find it genuinely fascinating that in an age where parity reigns supreme, there’s a team THIS incapable of even competing
=================================
==================================
And they beat that great team the Saints. hahahaha..........................Karma Saints fans!!!!

@ colts420ravens: "Come on man. Luck’s been playing good but Reggie is the Colts MVP by far."

You could make the case for either and be correct.

Without Luck, it would be ugly. He's played so beyond his years it's kind of hard to believe. Scrambling when necessary, shaking off defenders, clutch drives... kid is for real. (288 yds/g, 11 total TDs)

Reggie is playing ageless. One of the most productive WRs in the NFL this year and nobody guessed that. (54 rec, 757 yards... most in NFL).

New coaches, all new TEs & WRs beside Wayne (no Garcon, Collie, Clark, Tamme), OLine changes, average Running Game... and Luck/Wayne seem unphased by it.

Colts are ahead of schedule on their "rebound".

Keep underestimating Pure Steel. Everyone is in for another reckoning. Steeler Nation will get #7 and walk off into the sunset. Back into your places you go.

____

Then you'll only need six more to catch Green Bay. Thanks for #13 btw.

Cortland Finnegan may be underrated... but only as one of the Dirtiest Player in the League. He has little skill, next to no speed, and relies on cheap shots and trash talk to get under players skin. He's not a football player, he's a grifter.

Yes... he may be effective, but so are are steriods and helmet to helmet shots to QBs.

I have a question for fellow football junkies: if the Chiefs maintain anything close to this staggering ineptitude throughout the season, will they be remembered as among the very worst teams in the history of the game despite their one win? To trot out an oft-repeated but astonishing stat: they haven't led for a single second in regulation...and we're in week eight! That's almost impossible to accomplish. I swear that I'm not a Chiefs "hater"; I just find it genuinely fascinating that in an age where parity reigns supreme, there's a team THIS incapable of even competing.

All of those players have been more instrumental to the Bears success than Jay. Don't get me wrong, I love Jay, but without Marshall I think this would be his worst season ever.
