I can't believe a Steelers fan called Smith a dink and dunk player. Big Ben is the master of that this season, and good for him! He's having an MVP type season.

If you go back and look, people have made the dink and dunk excuse to guys like Peyton Manning, Steve Young, Carson Palmer, Ken Anderson.

It really doesn't even make sense when you consider Alex Smith is in the top 5 for yards per attempt.

I'm not sure where complaining and submitting a play review/concern to the leagues office like every other coach does every week are the same thing.

You all Harbaugh haters can keep hating.. you all just wish you had him coaching your team.. im sure most of the haters are fans of the lion, saints, hawks or any other team the niners beat up..

I dont see fans with a good coach in here complaining.. not one pat fan, pack, giants.. or steelers.. is always fans of bad teams or teams the niner beat up!.. get a life hypocrites.. if he was coaching your team none of you would be hating him!

Only against crap teams that can't score. What a shocker go check his stats for every game this year. Whenever the 9ers play a team that doesn't score first and maintain a scoring offense they and Alex Smith's numbers are horrible. It's only against a rusty Packers team, an overrated and garbage Lions teams and the rest of the filth they've played that this BUST even remotely looks like a average QB. Last year they had one of the leagues easiest schedule. LOL. This year they will be 10-6 at best, and every one of those e6 losses will be to a good team, where Alice falls flat on his face.

7 years for this?? BUST!!!

I would like to comment on all the 49er hate that goes around now. Niner fans, most of you brought it on yourself. Having lived in the Bay Area my whole life, 49er fans use to be classy and knowledgeable. Then, last year your team finally put together a great season again, and BAM!!! You all crowned yourselves champions before you had won anything again. You use to have the best organization in the NFL bit, that was almost 20 years ago. Your team now still needs to prove its self. As cor Alex Smith, he is finally coming together under the good coaching of Harbaugh bit, defense and Gore are your main hopes for winning. Doing great against a depleted Arizona team, missing 8 starters is one thing, trying doing great against a team worth while like the Giants, then Smith will earn some credit.

Great job dink and dunking down field.

-------------------------------------------------

Have you not seen any Steelers game this year? I believe they were the self proclaimed dink and dunk offense...

If you had watched this game, you would have seen that there were many plays where Smith looked for a deep pass. There was simply good coverage downfield. Its called giving what the defense gives you.

As a Giant fan I am impressed with the way Alex has played this year. In last year's NFC title game he was awful.

But he still has to show that he can bring his team from behind against a good defense while under pressure and he has to take fewer sacks.

If he can do this, then I'll just have to concede that I was wrong about him and he is a very good quarterback.
