stop with the give the ball to McCoy they are doing that 20/25 times a game without sucess the running game will get zilch until the deep passing game takes effect to get the safeties out of the box

I just shake my head everytime I see another article about how the Eagles are going to go to Foles and bench Vick. Like that will help anything. Foles was great in pre-season. Pre-season is not regular season. On top of that there is no line to speak of, the defense looks horrible and they all look like they’ve stopped playing for Reid. Go ahead, blame Vick cause he’s the QB but it’s not all on him. Foles may or may not become a good QB (personally I don’t think he’ll be any better than Feeley or Koy Detmer) but behind this line he’ll get killed and probably be ruined. And for Reid to go to Foles means he’s given up and conceeded he’ll be fired.

When are they going to Start talking about other QB that haven’t done anything like Romo, Sanchez, Rivers, Culter, stafford, how many playoff wins the romo have again, none of these guys have gotten it done So get off of vick i know its hatred towards him but D!! This is crazy i guess those teams have real fans and actually watch there games and don’t come up here and bash there QB.

If they lose to New Orleans then Vick should be kicked off of the team.
Unless Brees has a heroic game the Eagles should be able to seal the win, but it is the Superdome.

Honestly, this year the Saints are where Quarterbacks dreams come true.

This is the only sane course of action.

The offense has a chance to get some confidence while facing possibly the worst defense in the NFL, and the Eagles can come out of it 4-4. The season is not lost yet, which is why you can’t go to Foles. Reid, like any coach, has a responsibility to maximize this season before tinkering with an eye to the future. If they’re as bad as everyone says, then it won’t be long before they’re out of it, and THEN you can bring in Foles. But it’s just too early.

Besides, anyone who actually watches the games can tell you that Vick is playing better of late, and has stopped turning the ball over. But I guess that doesn’t fit the narrative.

Vick is very overrated. The eagles will have a losing season with mike vick. He may be a good backup to come off the bench and play. But he is not a starter.

I’m a life long suffering Eagles fan. I want the Reid era over ASAP. He did a great job and gave us plenty of fun along the way. His mistake was picking up Vick. Cunningham, Peete, McNabb and Vick=0 championships, notice a trend?

The best part about his loss is that Vick had no turnovers.
He did exactly what Andy had drawn and called into his helmet.
There are no more scape goats left. All the blame for our mediocrity falls onto Andy Reid.

It has never been more evident that this season.
The NFL has passed him bye.

Vick is a minor part of the 2012 problem. The eagles have been floundering since the loss of the GREAT Jim Johnson.
when he passed this team lost its identity and it’s edge.

This team needs top down changes.. I dont want them to can Reid now, but Laurie better have his rolidex of available cannidates out RIGHT NOW.

So this means the Saints will win this week.Remember everybody said the that the Lions defense was bad but the Eagles found a way to lose to them too.This offense only scores 16 points a game,that is way too little for all of the talent they have.

I really don’t see the point in benching Vick…although he is not going to take them to the Super Bowl anytime soon, I think their chances of having a winning season, if that is the hurdle for Big Red to keep his job, with a third round draft pick rookie QB is even more unlikely. I like Foles, but he is not the second coming of Tom Brady…

Vick has shown during the last two seasons that he cannot get the job done. What does Reid hope to gain by putting him in there with the worst defense in the league? Even if Vick does well it will be said that it’s due to the fact that the Saints can’t stop a nose bleed.

At least if you give Foles a shot he is going up against a soft defense where he can find his legs in that offense.

No matter what happens during this upcoming game it is fools gold, with Vick you know what you’re going to get, good not great. With Foles you don’t know and the unknown seems like a better alternative than the mediocre status quo.

Can’t start Foles unless you plan to start utilizing McCoy. When Reid figures out he’s the team’s best weapon, maybe they can right the ship. It’s funny watching Marty and Andy kill this team and give Shady 10 touches a game. They abandon the run after two carries of 2 yards or less, and continue calling runs that call for him to run to the outside after defenses have game planned for that after the Giants couldn’t contain it.

Philly best pray that the Saints’ defense continues being the NFL’s worst… otherwise, it’ll be like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
