Typical Eagles. Cheap they can compete and get close but always come up short. Maybe if you had more playmakers might win more big games. Think of the Freddie Mitchell, James Trash and Todd Stinkton years.

it’s funny that people actually think the eagles would cut nnamdi asomugha. yes it is very likely they will try to get him to take a pay cut but you dont cut a corner who is still good but just not playing up to expectations. He’s been beat for 2 TDs but other than that has played solid football.

It was. When you lose an All Pro left tackle, your starting center, and youre relying on 4th and 5th string players who were on the street a few months ago, it isnt going to look good.

They did spend some money on the only available LT, Demetress Bell. But he has been crap. Evan Mathis, whom they did spend money on this offseason, has looked terrible. As is RG Danny Watkins, last years first round pick.

It isnt for lack of effort that they look terrible. Just a chance of fate, unfortunately.

So true, should have spent some of that money on the o-line. The birds will be close to the top next year too, Vick and Nnamdi won’t be back believe that.

Two years ago the Eagles went out on a big spending spree look at where they are now. Eagles are 11-12 since paying for the top talent in the league.

Actually Mr. Florio the Eagles have some much cap space because they are trying to carry some of it over for next year. As it stands now they will be way over the cap next season (unless Nnmadi & Vick are cut – very realistic) Let me know if there are any other parts of your job I need to do for you.

The Eagles are damned if they do, and damned if they dont.

Everyone here has commented in the last 2 years that the Eagles are the Redskins of this decade, trying to buy a championship.

Then surprise…they still have money, and they only really brought in a couple of guys.

Had they somehow gotten Peyton Manning, and not signed Vick, this would be a completely different team. Of course, losing 40% of your starting OL doesnt help either.
