Are you sure players get paid for the bye week?

I always thought they got one paycheck per game (note the correct usage of “per”).

So his 4 game suspension means he loses 4 game checks no matter how long a period that encompasses.

You realize that he was the #1 corner back on a team thats D was still getting adjusted to new players, new coaches and not to mention the other CB moved to safety.
If Aqib can get his act together and realize the oppurtinty to be on a winning football team, great things can come of this.

He immediately becomes the biggest CB and maybe DB, and even if its Talib/Denard or Talib/Arrington with McCourty at the saftey spot, thats pretty good. Or in Nickle with Devin, Aqib and Alfonzo at CB, thats pretty damn solid too. Hell throw in Dime with Kyle Arrington and thats not a bad 4 CB set. you could have 3 linebackers and 2 lineman and run that most of the game lol.

I think the league does them a favor with their schedule every year. Last year they did not face a team above .500 until the playoffs!

Most of the teams they played were 8-8 (.500) last year. The reason those were .500 was that the Pats beat. Subtract the game vs the Pats they’d 8-7 and over .500.
