The Packers are going to give wide receiver Jordy Nelson one more chance to show them his hamstring is well enough for him to play against the Cardinals.

Coach Mike McCarthy said on Friday that Nelson will be a game-time decision after being listed as a non-participant at practice all week. McCarthy said that Nelson did more work than he has at other points this week and the team will see how he responds on Saturday morning before making a final decision on Sunday.

With the bye coming after the game against the Cardinals, the Packers could err for an extra helping of caution in hopes of getting Nelson all the way healthy for the final seven games of the season. They close with five divisional games and a visit to the Giants, so having a healthy Nelson will be even more vital once the team gets back from the bye.

The Packers have another crowded injury report this week with safety Jerron McMillian getting added to the list after his back started bothering him on Friday. He’s listed as questionable while fullback John Kuhn, cornerback Sam Shields and defensive tackle Jerel Worthy ruled out for Week Nine.
