The Black Hole will not be blacked out on local television.

After getting an extension from the league to sell enough non-premium tickets to avoid a blackout of the Raiders’ game against the Buccaneers, the Raiders have done just that. The team announced Friday afternoon that the game will be shown in the Oakland market after the team was able to meet the threshold required for local broadcast. In the Raiders’ case, that threshold is 85 percent of the non-premium seats because the team took advantage of the rule change this year allowing teams to set a lower mark in order to have fewer blackouts.

It’s the 12th straight Raiders game to air on local television. According to Paul Gutierrez of CSNBayArea.com, the Raiders will now have 61 televised games against 79 blackouts since returning to Oakland.

The Raiders have home games left against the Saints, Chiefs, Broncos and Browns this season. The Browns game would seem to be the toughest sell of those four and the biggest threat to the Raiders continuing their streak of appearing in living color in living rooms around the Bay Area.
