Hey gagee, romo is real great in the stats book, i agree, just like dan marino. They were good at filling the stands up with folks which lined the owners pockets but couldnt win the big ones when they counted

Most people that comment here, no nothing about the game. Romo, at the beginning of this, his eighth season is 3rd in NFL history for passer rating. He is if not a championship quarterback, he is a very, very, good quarterback. If Mr. Jones were to provide the Romo with better supporting staff at some, not all positions, then you would see him win championships. Take Terry Bradshaw, who according to statistics, was mediocre at best, yet won four out of four championship games. The Steelers of the 70′s provided Bradshaw with an impenetrable offensive line, and great receivers. How many seconds did Bradshaw typically have to throw the ball? Possibly 7-8? He was a downfield passer who more times than not took a 7 step drop. There was not a “west coast” offense in Pittsburgh. The point is, in the games he won, Bradshaw almost never got his uniform dirty. Romo is constantly under the gun. He makes plays with his feet, and he also gets into trouble with his feet. His OL needs to be more aggressive and fire out on pass plays. I was never a fan of the drop back, set-up style of pass blocking. When I played, I wanted to knock a guy on his ass, then sit on him. In any block, there is a sweet spot, just like on a baseball bat, where you have maximum force and very little reverberation. They need to find that area on there primary opponent. Concussions happen when the “sweet” spot is missed. Everyone has an achilles heel. Find it, Cowboys OL!

Barely hit his helmet. If the nfl is going to fine what is a 98% textbook hit, canty should have taken romo’s head off. Goodell has ruined the game. By the way…tainteombardis.. You’re one bitter dude. Cowboys still scored on that drive so the missed call didn’t affect anything.

I’m a huge cowboys fan, in fact I’ve only missed two games over the last 10 years and those have been the last two weeks due to my Moto hobby. I have been supporting Romo like crazy but this year he is sucking it up! I am hoping that if he throws 2 to 3 picks in Sundays game that he gets benched in favor of Orton just to show him that he is not that good. He needs a wake up call. This defense can win playoff games. This offense can get you a top ten pick in the draft. And Jason Garret needs to go. His robotic, emotionless, Princeton predictable offense needs to go. He understands what needs to happen out there, but when it’s time to make the big play call, call the timeout or have the team spike a ball.. He freezes.

So if there’s so many fines doled out on plays that didn’t even draw flags, why aren’t the refs and officials being investigated for not making calls on plays that could potentially hurt someone? Why aren’t they being held accountable? Fines are nothing for these millionaires. If the league fines the hitter why wouldn’t they look into the ref/s who clearly missed the call? Maybe they should be fined too. Isn’t someone who lets these hits go unflagged as guilty as the guy who made the hit? You know the replacement refs would be getting drilled for missing such critical calls. I’m not saying that a flag during the game when the play occurs would prevent the hit/possible injury so much as I’m saying that the refs are missing these calls and nothing is being done to hold them accountable (that I’ve heard of anyway).

I saw the game, and yes by definition it was a penalty. It was ticky tack though. He barely touched him and he wasn’t trying to drill him with his helmet.. but yes, it should have been a flag.
