I would love to see this happen. Every idiot SEC fan would bet their life savings on the college team. Meanwhile, us northern NFL fans would gladly take their money. For once, the red states would actually be giving money to the blue states.

In a related story, Heath Evans must have forgotten his comments to a Miami sports radio show just 8 months ago when he slammed Nick Saban.

******************************************

NO, I am an SEC fan, and this game would be over by the end of the 1st quarter.

Projections for Alabama in the 2013 NFL Draft (Walter Football):

R1/12 - D. Milliner (CB)
R1/17 - C. Warmac (G)
R1/25 - CJ Mosley (ILB)
R1/27 - B. Jones (OL)
R2/44 - DJ Fluker (OT)
R2/46 - J. Williams (NT)
R3/69 - R. Luster (S)

That is it for the first 3 rounds, and lets be honest, anyone drafted after the 3rd round has LITTLE chance to start.

That means, there are 7 guys on Alabama who are ready to play in the NFL (AT BEST).

I don't car how good a college freak is, theres no way they're beating a nfl team. Even the 0-16 lions from few years back would destroy any college team. The game is just way too fast and the rules are different. Even the best two QBs from this past draft notice the difference from college play to nfl play, you have to be an idiot to think otherwise.

2 points to make:

1) Nick Saban was a failure as an NFL coach.

2) You see how a rookie performs in his first NFL season? Now imagine an entire team of them, some not even worthy of being in the NFL, and picture them playing against ANY NFL team. Not pretty.

Keep in mind that all NFL players would have been in the top 5-10 players on their college team, now put that up against the Alabama roster where they have some players on their roster who will turn out to have been just really good high school players.

Heath is an idiot. Watching him on NFL network is laughable at best. He is always pushing the run on teams that DO NOT need it. Run the ball to keep a defense honest. Other than that welcome to 2012. Spread the field and launch that football. Win or lose it is much more fun to watch.

If you just looked at the trenches alone a college team's o-line and d-line would get murdered, I can see a guy like Justin Houston owning DJ Fluker in a one-on-one matchup if the Chiefs played Alabama(hell I could see him having his way with Barrett Jones), you also have to take account QB's facing an NFL defense, a college DB trying to cover an NFL receiver

I don't see how anyone could think that matchup would even be competitive

Well I picked for both teams, and I would bet $10,000 on a 2 team parlay to make extra money. But if this is a fantasy bet then I'm only doing it if I get to run the teams and play with the points on the board, not like the teams would do if they were playing a normal game trying to win. It's a more likely proposition if the name of the game is to cover the spread than to win the game.

So I'm in on the parlay bet if it's for covering the spread to win rather than the teams trying to win straight up with the points in hand. Otherwise I wouldn't make the bet.
