We’ll seeWhile I will concede the tougher schedule from here on out, here’s a thought…At 7-1, the Bears more than capable of beating any team remaining on their schedule, even Houston and SF…I don’t see them winning out, but 6-2 or 5-3 seems realistic…And finishing 13-3 or 12-4 should win the NFC North.

Texans, SF and GB. The Bears had better win 2 of these 3 or all the steam of a 7-1 start won’t mean much. You’ve got to be able to win against the good guys as well as beat up the cellar dwellers.

You’re supposed to beat up on the weaker teams you face, and at least split the tough games…I can picture the Bears losing 3 more games…@SF, @MN, and perhaps GB at home if they don’t reverse recent history…AZ and Seattle are not elite, and the Bears should be able to beat them, while playing at home on a Sunday should give the Bears the edge over Houston.

Who in the NFC has had a tough record to this point? Entering this week, every NFC division leader had beaten exactly one team with a winning record. The Bears beat the Colts, the Falcons beat the Broncos, the Giants beat the Niners, and the Niners beat the Packers. Other than that, they’ve all beaten weaker teams. We have just as much right to say we’re the best right now as anybody else.

You got to beat who is on your schedule. Bears have done that. Obviously, gets a lot tougher from here on. However, in nearly 40+ years of football watching, Tillman’s ability to force fumbles is amazing!! And a one legged Urlacher running (like I do) for a TD was special.
