Darren McFadden out with leg injury, Raiders lead 10-7

Rod Streater, Leonard Johnson AP

Raiders running back Darren McFadden may not return to a game between teams yearning to be .500.

McFadden jogged to the locker room a few moments ago after a low tackle, and they announced in the press box that he suffered a leg injury, and his return is questionable.

Several things about this game are. The Bucs (3-4) and Raiders (3-4) are at least willing to take shots downfield, with the game picking up after a sluggish start.

The Raiders just took a 10-7 lead on a 25-yard Carson Palmer touchdown pass to Rod Streater, the eighth straight game they’ve scored in the final two minutes of the half.

The Raiders blocked a Tampa Bay field goal earlier, but stalled in the red zone on their ensuing possession. The Bucs struck back with a 20-yard touchdown pass to Vincent Jackson, but missed a chance to tie just before the half when Connor Barth missed a 54-yard field goal.

UPDATE 5:57 p.m. ET: FOX just announced that X-rays were negative, but that McFadden would not return today.

Like Samuel L Jackson’s character from “Unbreakable;” he is made of glass.
