Falcons tie it at half in field goal-fest

While it might not have been what we were expecting stylistically, it matches a reasonable expectation of competitiveness.

Matt Bryant’s field goal as time expired brought the Falcons back into a 6-6 tie with the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Matt Ryan and Tony Romo have taken turns making plays, but neither side has taken real advantage.

Part of the reason both offenses are off pace is neither side can run. They have 52 rushing yards between them, and that lack of balance is negating some of the big plays they’re both making.

The Cowboys will be concerned with the condition of nose tackle Jay Ratliff, who left the game just before the half with what appeared to be an ankle injury.
