So much for Calvin Johnson being limited today with a knee injury.

Johnson, the Lions receiver who missed practice all week and was viewed as a game-time decision today in Jacksonville, got off to a great start with five catches for 99 yards in the first 22 minutes of action, as the Lions jumped out to an early 14-0 lead.

Both of the Lions’ touchdowns came at the end of long drives on which Johnson led the way: On their first scoring drive, Johnson had catches of 10, 18 and 26 yards, and the second touchdown was set up when Johnson caught a pass for 38 yards and was dragged down at the 1-yard line. Both touchdowns were scored by Mikel Leshoure on runs right up the middle.

The Jaguars’ offense hasn’t been able to do much of anything, going three-and-out on each of Jacksonville’s first three possessions. It’s going to be tough for this offense to keep pace with a Detroit attack that is firing on all cylinders.

UPDATE 2:19 p.m. ET: Leshoure scored his third touchdown of the day just before halftime to make it 21-0.
