Giants fans, please understand there is a ton of hate for us across the country. That is part of being from this area, you'll never be respected by some.

The other hate comes from the fans of other NFL teams. Understand, their sphincters are still sore from Eli's 2012 season.

Just smile and realize, they'd take our season over theirs in a heartbeat.

oilman989 says: Nov 7, 2012 11:56 AM

A class move by a class organization. By my calculations:

(a) an apocalypic Viking owner is 400K short,
(b) a demented, whacked-out Colt owner is, at a minimum, 435K short,
(c) the other 29 franchises and their corresponding self-absorbed, egocentric owners are out of touch and utterly clueless.

God speed to the victims of Sandy.

Keep in mind that the Giants and their fans are DIRECTLY impacted by the damage of the storm. Just because a person is wealthy does not mean he is obligated to give money to a charity for a natural disaster.

Maybe Irsay is giving money to support Leukemia research? That would be fitting since that impacts his team directly. Would you then be upset with the other owners not matching his donations to the cause? All of these guys, even as greedy as we know them to be, will donate more money every year than all of us will in a lifetime. They have the right to chose which charities they want to support.

Being from Louisiana, I know first hand how desperate the folks in NY/NJ are. I can tell you for a fact that any amount offered by team owners or players is gratefully appreciated - whether it's half a million or a buck and a half. On behalf of the victims, I thank you.

Remember, it was Romney-Ryan who promised - promised - to cut funding for FEMA. When President Obama called Gov. Christie offering immediate financial assistance for NJ citizens, and Christie gratefully accepted and publicly thanked the President, the Romney-Ryan campaign vilified Christie, as did Fox News, the RNC, and of course right wing nuts on radio. Perhaps Woody Johnson, who trailed Romney around like a love sick puppy during the campaign, feels the same way about storm ravaged working people in NY and NJ as Romney does.

But if Johnson can find a dollar to spare and chip in for relief efforts I will than him, too.

Punter Steve Weatherford and corner Prince Amukamara led a contingent of Giants who handed out food at Seaside Heights, where the boardwalk was demolished by the storm.
I bet one Giants charter flight for the team cost more than 500k

I bet you are wrong.
United is the offical airline of the Giants and gets tons or PR and advertising so I would bet it is more of an in kind trade.

And if it did cost $500.000 that is the cost of doing business but lets think for a second
A 737 with max seats holds 215 people. Do the math never mind doubt you can that would mean that they would be paying an average of $2,325.59 per seat. So may I say WRONG AGAIN!!!!

what did you team do to help anyone this week?

To the fans of the Giants I am sorry for my rants but as someone who has been effected by the storm and know many in very bad shape I am sick and tired of these maggots and there stupid remarks.

For an organization that makes hundreds of millions plus off New Yorkers, half a million seems pretty chintzy.

They also pay Millions and Millions in paychecks not just to the players but to all the folks that work for the team all the ticket takers and everyone else many who have been effected by the storm.

They also paid to have there own stadium built unlike so many of your teams who take tax dollars to make there millions.

This may sound really petty but, THAT’S IT?!?!?!? Zigy Wilf, the owner of the MINNESOTA VIKINGS, gave 1 Million towards relief efforts… lame.

Wow you are someone that could do well from Justin Tucks charity
Its for learning how to read.

Ziggy gave $100,000.00 that is one tenth of a million.
Also if you had a clue Ziggy is a native NJ boy who had to buy the vikes because the Maras would not sell the Giants to him.
Fact Ziggy is a NY Giant season ticket holder.
So even other NFL owners want to be near greatness.

You know I am sick and tired of your bashing of the Giants and the NY NJ area.

Yes the team is worth billions but they did not sell it so they do not have billions.

For the idiot who said I heard Sandy did millions of dollars of improvements. It’s NY/NJ after all.

People died here others lost everything they own whole towns are gone.

You think that is funny you hide behind your screen name in your mothers basement eating your beefaroni and think that is fine dining.

All of you who bash the NY NJ area have one thing in common you could not make it here you would be curled up in a corner crying for your mommy.

You say the Giants giving $500.000 is like an average guy giving $50.00 well then reach in your pocket and give that $50.00. Better yet keep your money and spend it on that new front tooth you have been eyeing up.

NY and NJ do not need your help we will be bigger better and stronger we will come back and you will stay away as you could not deal with things here in the northeast you would run back to your moms basement crying like the punk you are.

The fact that this website will delete so many posts but allow others to remain is beyond me.

As the sun comes up this morning there are hard working people in the dark who are going to be facing up to 4" of snow tonight but they will get by as there neighbors will help them not FEMA not the Red Cross but local churches and food banks.

If you do what to help I agree do not trust the international charities find a local food bank or church those folks are boots on the ground and in the effected areas.

The fact that this website will delete so many posts but allow others to remain is beyond me.

As the sun comes up this morning there are hard working people in the dark who are going to be facing up to 4″ of snow tonight but they will get by as there neighbors will help them not FEMA not the Red Cross but local churches and food banks.

If you do what to help I agree do not trust the international charities find a local food bank or church those folks are boots on the ground and in the effected areas.

So one of the wealthiest sports franchises in one of the wealthiest sports leagues in one of the wealthiest cities in the country...could only cough up $500k for their home town?

Sorry, that strikes me as pretty cheap. They'll recoup that $500k on nacho sales alone at their next home game.

Greedy, tight-fisted NFL owners, as always.
