Well, he took the Cowboys to 13-3 five years ago. I believe strongly that the GM has made this organization a trainwreck, not the individual players. There was a book written about the ‘boys that said when a coach would discipline a player, they would go to Jerry and he would override the coach’s decision. I don’t know what all goes on there, but after Jimmy left, the team has been shaky. Of course free agency and cap salary have changed football as well.

Hat’s off to Jerry. He’s a great fan of football and his team. That shows all the time.

But…

When it comes to being the Owner/GM.. he’s got to take off his fan hat, and be objective, and he doesn’t do that very well.

He seems to over-evaluate his own players and coaches..

Until he really sits back, and becomes more objective, he’s never going to truly going to improve the team. They’re never going to be consistently good.. At best they’ll be mediocre with the occasional splash of a playoff game.

Looked it up–book was called “Boys will be Boys.” Details were somewhat shocking. Don’t know how other team organizations work, but Dallas just seems crazy.

From the way our GM Jerry Jones talks, I would say Romo gets resigned next year. Am I in favor of that?

No. After 13 INTs in 7 games this year, I’ve seen enough of this gun slinger QB and think he is not going to be consistent enough to ever do better than 8-8 in a season.
