Watched the guy for a year with the Badgers and came away thoroughly impressed with everything about Wilson. Seahawks got a steal with him in the 3rd round, no doubt.

Personally, I think he will be elite next season. He is such a workaholic, such an amazing learner, and boasts a very strong arm. He simply does not make the same mistake 2 games in a row. I hope the ‘Hawks re-write his contract immediately after the season. He can’t ask for more but they can opt to give it to him.

Russell Wilson is awesome! I think 5 years down the line we’ll look at him as one of the elite quarterbacks in the game. This guy won’t lose, he refuses to!!

After watching this QB beat the Pats my thoughts were “How did Pete Carroll get this kid ready so quickly?” But the fact is the player got himself ready to play at the highest level. Good for him and his fans. Beat the Jets this weekend but watch out for their D because that part of their team can play.

It’s redundantly obvious, in every comment you post, that you don’t like Pete Carroll. Yes, tired and boring.

You do yourself better by keeping on the topic. Coming from a 49er fan, having a coach with some “life” is much better than a coach who says nothing. If the energetic coach motivates his team, that’s all that matters.

Now back to the topic and the QB I wish we had….

It’s exciting watching RW play and listen to him because all the leadership skills are there. We had steady QB from Hasselbeck but the last 4 years its was painful watching him on the decline, Seneca Wallace, Charlie Whitehurt, Tavaris Jackson (who wasn’t as bad). We do need one more legit weapon at wide out to give this kid chance to excel but I think Rice is healthy and Tate/Baldwin can do fine on the insides.

It is such a pleasure to watch the calm, measured way in which Wilson pursues the precise path he’s laid out for himself to excellence as an NFL quarterback. He’s made a few rookie mistakes, but they’ve never been DUMB rookie mistakes, and by the very next game, if he encounters similar circumstances, he’s added whatever tools he needs to overcome the problem and succeed.

So much fun to watch a QB with scrambling ability run with purpose: his goals outside the pocket are so obviously to extend the play until someone gets open, or to make sufficient yardage to keep the drive—and himself—alive. Mentally and physically, he always seems to have his feet under himself. GO, RW! I’m definitely keeping my tickets throughout his career.

He’s smooth. I was impressed with him against the Lions, every time he was pressured and flushed out of the pocket he would seemingly turn throwaway balls into precise passes for short gains. That’s a nice intangible. Stafford doesn’t do that well and needs to add that to his game.
