@Sensiblebuc, I couldn't agree with you more. I didn't mind the Bucs running the plays at the end of the game, but giving Martin 3 carries, each for ~minus 5 yards, really put a down note on his day. Instead of posting a line of 22-265*-4*-0 (att-yds-TDs-Fumb), his line was 25-251*-4*-0. Granted the latter is STILL a great game, but he WAS averaging 12.0 yds per carry before some dumbass decided he should lose ~5 yards per carry for 3 carries. As it was, he just BARELY averaged 10.0 yards per carry which, I know, is still amazing (*team record).

And how dumb would Schiano, or whomever made the decision to put Martin in the game for the last three carries, look had Martin twisted an ankle, gotten hit particularly hard, or as we Buc fans have experienced before, torn his ACL or MCL on one of those 3 runs? For that matter, why was Freeman even in the game? If you're just going to have a guy grab the snap and sit down, put someone in whom we can afford to get injured (Jefferson at QB, Smith at RB for example). The 3rd string guys get some snaps during a real game (even if the snaps are meaningless, neither would ever have to take their first snap in a game at a time that actually matters) and we don't have to worry about them getting injured or worry about their stat line.

If only there were some way of keeping track of stats accurately and honestly without counting the inconsequential things that happen in garbage time (maybe we need to dig up the Joe Pisarcik to Larry Csonka "handoff" back in the 70s to remind Schiano and crew exactly WHY teams just take the snap and sit on the ball).

I traded him for Demarius Thomas the day before his game against the Vikings. But hey, don’t worry…At least I have Ryan Matthews!

That's too bad. It's a tough way to find out that the viks run defense was based on smoke and mirrors.

As a Bucs fan I'm still a little salty that Schiano kept him in at the end of the game where he risked injury and could've actually gotten more yards. He should've had 265 yards on 22 carries.
