Now we are comparing Rodgers to Jake "headcase" Cutler. Come on! The Bears will never win a superbowl with Cutler, he's another Jeff George, talent with arrogance beyond belief a true "tool". Viking fans, you will be happy to get Rodgers after he is done with the Pack in about 10 years or so. Rodgers was not looking for a pat on the back for his charity work, he wanted the charity to get some publicity. Rodgers never dismissed any woman with cancer. Players are human too and just because he's an athlete/celebrity doesn't give people the right to be rude. I did like the piece and Rodgers does have a chip, with good reason, it's what has made him the best QB in the NFL.

Some people on here are so foolish. First of all, his complaints about the officiating were warranted. Everyone without biased hate against Green Bay knows the call was atrocious. Second, when Rodgers speaks up, he has a reasoning behind it and it's with good intentions. Such a jerk for speaking out wishing the NFL didn't take Johnny Jolly away from his support group (The Packers)! Such a jerk for wanting to raise awareness for the MACC fund! Get a grip people. Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL and is one of the most generous, intellectual players as well. It is refreshing to see with a high IQ. I'm tired of the Jermichael Finley's of the world who couldn't win a 3rd grade spelling bee.

I'm a Packer fan and have truly appreciated Aaron's talent on the field. He does really need to drop the chip on his shoulder though. He's done more than enough to prove his nay-sayers wrong. I watched the 60 Minutes piece andl, overall, thought it was good. However, I did not care for the way Rodgers snapped at the fan who said "You're not as tall as I thought you'd be". Rodgers response was "I don't really appreciate that". Really??? You could tell he caught the fan off guard.

A player's personality is a lot more interesting for television than showing charity work (no offense). I saw the piece ESPN did a couple years ago about a little girl who asked Rodgers to shave his facial hair (to which he did). It made me respect him a lot for devoting his time. However, player profiles need to go beyond their charity work, stats, and endorsements. Up until that point, I didn't know a lot about Rodgers background, nor did I realize he had it harder than most elite quarterbacks in the NFL. I am happy the rejection letter from Purdue was mentioned, along with the fact that he's unusually thin-skinned around his teammates and fans. It made this fan earn a lot more respect for him for his honesty.

So Rodgers and Packer fans never want to talk about him blowing off that old lady with cancer but now were are supposed to believe that poor Aaron was slighted because they did not focus on him attending a MACC Fund event?
Since he felt he had to bring it up then what was his real motivation for going?

He whines about his comments being taken out of context on his own radio show.
He whines about the way he came off on an interview that HE agreed to do for 60 min.
He throws his teammates under the buss all the time and then gets his feelings hurt when one of them even hints that he is thin skinned.
How about you just play football and shut the hell up then?
No more T.V. commercials while you are at it.

Funny how Jay Cutler does not rant on a radio show, seek publicity for his charitable contributions or for visiting children in the hospital or cry on 60 min. about being rejected for a scholarship in college yet HE is the one that supposed to be the arrogant tool.
--------------------------------------------------
philtration, I'll try educate you. With regard to your 1st charge, yes Aaron did walk past her, because she shows up EVERY week to get free bling from the guy. He decided enough is enough. With regard to the rest of your rant, I have to ask, do you even live within 100o miles of Green Bay? I have never, ever, once seen Aaron calling out a player much less throwing a team mate under the bus. You either have Aaron confused with some other QB, or your hate for the guy make you lie.

Fabulous quarterback and fun to watch when he 's not playing my team...but I lost any respect for him when he came out so strong in defense of Ryan Braun who was then and is now as guilty as sin of juicing.
Rodgers looked like a fool in that case and in the reaction to the 60 minutes case he comes out the loser again because he implies the best of him hit the cutting room floor. Can't audible 60 minutes and change up the protection after fact.

I'd rather have a QB who complains that 60 minutes didn't do enough to showcase the good work that MACC is doing rather than an undersized, injury-prone prima donna WR who screams at his coach during a game. How's your QB doing, by the way?

Funny how Jay Cutler does not rant on a radio show, seek publicity for his charitable contributions or for visiting children in the hospital or cry on 60 min. about being rejected for a scholarship in college yet HE is the one that supposed to be the arrogant tool.

I'm not a huge Cutler fan but I don't think he's arrogant so much as he just doesn't give much of a bleep about what he thinks is silly niceties. He's sort of similar to my team's HC that way. I actually kind of like that about Cutler most of the time.

And I agree Rodgers does have a dry sense of humor. But I also agree with Jennings. Sometimes AR needs to put a sock in it. One thing anyone who loves the NFL should agree on is the dude is a fantastic player.

"60 Minutes'
sports profiles suck because they're too positive.

The positiveness is caused by this dumb knack to condense the story and find a cheap method to get the male audience.

Let's all admit this and not have this comment banned!!!

I didn’t see where Rodgers said he was disappointed that HE didn’t get a pat on the back for working with the MACC fund. What he said was, he’s diappointed that the MACC fund didn’t get any much-deserved love. Big difference there, kiddies.

Rodgers does a TON of stuff around Wisconsin that most people never hear about. That’s the way HE wants it. He’s as far from a “glory hound” as is humanly possible, quietly going about the business of doing good things. We should all be more like “Mr. Rodgers”.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Google Bears corner Peanut Tillman...he established a foundation for children in bad health..... You never hear a single peep about it !

Tillman does his job and never has a bad word...one class act ! Oh and for those who may say he may not play because this Sunday, his wife is giving birth. He recently almost lost a child to heart disease . For Tillman, family always come first, as it should be !

It never ceases to amaze me how dumb people can be. You'd think that anyone going on a show like 60 Minutes would do their research first. The first sentence of the article sums it up. Why Rodgers thinks he'd be treated any differently is a puzzle. But, I guess that's par for the course.
