As they usually do, the Jaguars have started slowly on Thursday night in Jacksonville.

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck targeted Reggie Wayne with eight of his first nine passes -- and Wayne caught six of them for 64 yards -- as Indianapolis jumped out to an early 10-0 lead in Jacksonville.

The Colts’ first scoring drive covered 44 yards on seven plays and ended with a 31-yard Adam Vinatieri field goal. Their second scoring drive went 66 yards in eight plays, was aided by a roughing the passer penalty that negated a Luck interception, and ended with Luck running for a five-yard touchdown.

Unless things change, the Colts are on their way to a win that will give them a surprising 6-3 record through nine games. And the Jaguars are on the way to another loss that will drop them to an unsurprising 1-8.
