A bit of advise, you will never win this running arguement. As a Colts fan I am 100% convinced we got the right guy. That is not saying you got the wrong guy. See how easy that was? Everyone wins.

Brady, Rodgers, and Brees are elite, SB-winning QBs any team would love to have on their roster…That said, I believe Jay Cutler is the right QB to lead the Bears to that level, he has the talent…Bad o-line play, no legit WRs before this year, and his own poor decision-making have held him back thus far.

You say record doesn’t matter, but Jay is 26-9 in his last 35 starts, and was 7-3 last year before breaking his thumb…We all saw what happened to that winning record once Caleb Hanie got hold of it…/-:

Anyway…Back to the topic at hand…I also think both Luck and RG3 will be great (likely elite) QBs in the NFL.

Colts 6 – 3
Skins 3 – 6

Sorry that I actually made a post that consisted of stats and reasoning instead of just “Rg who” or “Luck>RG3 by far” which exemplify a lot of posts on this site. And that since you don’t like my argument, the stats are invalid, apparently.

I’d love to hear your reasoning as to why “Luck is better, period”. Again, I like Luck. I don’t see how he’s better, “period”. A couple weeks ago, there were Colts fans on this site saying Indy had made the wrong pick.

And “pedestrian and simple offense” is simply incorrect and ignorant. They’re running the zone read the majority of the offense (too often for my liking, in fact) in which RG3 is making any of several decisions POST-snap. Kyle Shanahan has installed a great hybrid option offense that up until 2 weeks ago has been working very well, but they have been struggling of late without Garcon and Davis. Their intermediate and between the hash routes have been killing defenses, but they have not run as many deep patters as they should be.

skins fans are whining and making excuses, buyers remorse ? easy schedule? lol, and unlike skins, we win at home and on the road too, want some cheese with that whine skins23?

I am hardly whining. I love RG3 and would not trade him for anyone in the league, including Luck. I like Luck as well. I think they’ll both be great QBs and both have chances to win Super Bowls.

Yes, when you play the Titans and Jags twice, Browns, Chiefs, Bills, Jets, your schedule is easy. The Skins actually have just as many road wins as the Colts do. I realize that the Skins are not good right now.

AGAIN, all I am saying is that just because the Colts have a better record does not necessarily make Luck a better QB. They’re both 9 games into their career.

I agree that the training wheel are still on. I wish they would let them off a bit since RG3 actually has a very accurate deep ball and was known for this in college, but the injury to Garcon has really hindered their downfield game.

The ‘line of scrimmage’ stat keeps coming up, but RG3 is still ahead of Luck in yards/attempt on the season, meaning his passes on average have been just as effective.

I like Luck and wish him well but its foolish to say Luck is better based on record.

The stats do not even begin to tell the story.

RGIII throws the highest percentage of passes within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage in the NFL. He is playing great in the system Shanahan has put him in, but the training wheels are still on.

Luck’s average depth of his pass attempts is highest in the entire league. Despite a rather porous line, he has taken relatively few sacks and has been keeping his eyes downfield and taking hits after getting the ball out just in time.

They’re both great QBs, and they’re both going to have points where one looks better and one looks worse. 2 weeks ago after RG3 led the go ahead drive at NYG, everyone had RG3 as the better QB so far. Now the Skins have played 2 terrible games and Luck is on top. It will fluctuate along their careers, but Luck isn’t better just because the Colts have a better record.

Don’t forget that Luck is leading the league in attempts averaging over 40/game, the Colts have one of the easiest schedules in the league, are playing an emotionally charged season; meanwhile RG3 is playing without his #1WR, #1TE, a terrible defense, and a bogus $18M cap penalty.

Passer rating RG3 leads 93 to 79.

Comp % RG3 leads 65 to 56.

TD/INT – RG3 8/3, Luck 10/9.

Rushing RG3 529/6TDs, Luck 159/5 TDs
