I think he’s just pissed off that his Alma Mater boy, McElroy, is carrying a clipboard while we stand around waiting for the inevitable Sanchez/Tebow Experiment to fail. Alabama folks seem to have a proclivity for this type of thinking. Its like its OWED to them because they went to Alabama or something.

If Joe Namath is the greatest player in the history of the New York Jets, then the Jets have one sorry history. You do know that Broadway Joe had twice as many career interceptions as he had touchdown passes, don’t you, Michael David Smith? This guy has lived off the Super Bowl III victory his entire career – granted, it was a very important victory in the evolution of the league as we know it, but since when do guys who have such horrible career stats get into the Hall of Fame??

Get real. One lousy Super Bowl win, while he was just the QB. Its a team game and I personally think Curtis Martin should be considered.

He’s absolutely right, and I don’t think it’s all that subtle either. Tebow barely plays and when he’s in the game it’s for something ridiculous like punt protector. What’s the point?

It’s surprising that NY fans tolerate the mismanagement of Woody. Perhaps having another SB winning team in town tempers their frustration.

And why would this be news? Owners want to win, but they NEED to make a profit in order to justify owning the franchise. My guess is you’d be hard pressed to find any owner that felt differently.

Check out the prices for concessions at Jerry Jones’s new digs in Dallas. Jerry’s not losing money folks, and no owner who wants to keep on owning his team is willing to lose money.

One more thing: “The greatest player in the history of the New York Jets” is Joe Namath? Are you kidding? Freeman McNeil, Don Maynard, Curtis Martin all had better careers than Namath.

Never in the history of any sport has one player lived off of one game more than Namath has off of Super Bowl III. Namath is the worst player in the Hall of Fame, by far, and his career passer rating is so low that it would get him benched or cut outright today. He is the most over-rated player in NFL history.

Curtis Martin is the greatest Jet of all time.

Look at his numbers. He is the most underrated back of his era.
