Robert Mathis not active for Thursday night

Technically, the status of Colts linebacker Robert Mathis was the equivalent of a 50-50 coin flip.

The coin came up “he ain’t playing.”

Via the Jaguars’ Twitter feed, Mathis is inactive due to a back injury he suffered on Sunday against the Dolphins.

Another Mathis is also not active for the Thursday night game.  Jags cornerback Rashean Mathis won’t play.

The game gets rolling at 8:30 p.m. ET on NFL Network.

UPDATE 7:17 p.m. ET:  The other Colts inactives are cornerback Vontae Davis, cornerback Jerraud Powers, center Samson Satele, defensive end Clifton Geathers, tackle Winston Justice, and tight end Coby Fleener.  Running back Donald Brown is active.

Less then 20 minutes until kick off and it looks like 1/2 the fans are disguised as empty seats.
