Hakeem Nicks probable, Chris Snee questionable for Sunday

Anthony Spencer, Ahmad Bradshaw, Chris Snee AP

The Giants released their injury report for Sunday’s game against the Bengals and the news is better than expected for a few players.

Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is probable after missing practice earlier this week with swelling in the knee that’s been bothering him for most of the season. The Bengals defense has not done a great job stopping the pass this season, which could mean big numbers for Nicks on Sunday if not for his belief that stats are the arena of the fairer sex.

Guard Chris Snee is questionable, which is actually a fairly big improvement over where it looked like things were heading this week. Snee didn’t practice at all on Wednesday or Thursday, but he was able to do some work on his injured ankle on Friday. Running back Ahmad Bradshaw is, as usual, questionable and linebacker Keith Rivers has the same designation.

Linebacker Chase Blackburn, who missed last week’s game, and defensive tackle Chris Canty are both listed as probable as the Giants head into their last game before the bye. They expect to get safety Kenny Phillips, ruled out early this week, back in Week 12 to bolster a roster that’s otherwise pretty healthy as the second half unfolds.
