Apologies. As a Saints fan, a mere few minutes of defensive highlights does not compensate for a overall lousy defense. To be able to laugh at the the things that bother you helps not to be bitter. You are right, it was a good play.

That’s not good football, that’s a weak O-line. You don’t get the 32nd defense by playing good football. Maybe the Saints should start back the pools and then they might get back to being a defense.

Has the NFL came out and said the flag on Ryan Clark’s hit on Cruz was wrong?

I understand player safety but like people have pointed out, it’s going to ruin the game. You can’t go low on quarterbacks, you can’t go high on them, you can’t hit them in they duck into the hit…you can’t do anything without a ref throwing a flag when he doesn’t even have a good angle on what happened.

I’ve seen about 1000 alleged illegal hits on QBs (especially Brady) where there is a flag and a fine. And they are much lamer that this hit. Maybe Vick was right when he said that he doesn’t get breaks from the refs and the league.

And his O-line is the worst I’ve ever seen in organized football.

The NFL tells the refs to throw the flag if its to close to call. This is crap. If they see its a helmet to helmet hit then throw the flag. If they miss one they can always fine the player after. They can’t take back the flag that might cost a team the game.
