APVikings receiver Percy Harvin says he sprained his ankle in three places on Sunday. He has since missed three practices.
According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Harvin is officially doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Lions. It’s arguably the most winnable game left on a schedule that includes, after next Sunday’s bye, games against the Bears, Packers, Bears, Rams, Texans, and Packers.
Without Harvin, the Vikings will have to lean even more heavily on Adrian Peterson. And they’ll have to hope that players like Jerome Simpson finally step up and make a difference in the passing game.

Love the dude to death but now its time to activate Jarius Wright and see why we took him in the 4th round.
5-11 seems about right.
Percy should sign with a good team.
This could be the first game in NFL history we see a defense put all 11 players in the box on every down.
Since when did the Rams get tougher than the Lions? Even in St. Louis, I have to think they’d be easier to beat. Still, looks like 6-10 or 7-9 to me, given that he management of the team stated up front that this would be a rebuilding year, did anyone really expect much more than we are getting? Give them another year and I think they’ll be interesting.
If they don’t see Joe Webb as a viable QB option they really should have been working him out more as a receiver.

Maybe the:
Giants
Packers
Bears
Texans
Falcons
aaaaaaaaaaaand, oh yeah, and any team not named the Vikings.
If Percy did sign with a good team he’d make what Wes Welker did in NE look minor!
Ok, well you should let his agent know then.
I love the Vikings but I’m a realist. Unless the Wilf’s get a coaching staff in here that’s on the up tick or has championship experience this team will continue to wallow in mediocrity. I feel so bad for the Moss’s, Carter, Randle, R.Smith, Doleman, Millard, just to name a quick few and now A.P., Harvin, Greenway, Allen, Winfield and the list goes on…..If only we had kept the Dungy, Billick, and especially Tomlin…..all have persevered since leaving Winter Park while we as Vikings fans are left again with a bowl of lemon & lutefisk soup freshly squeezed by the powers that be…..How long will this trend continue…….Stay tuned…!!!
I’ve sprained my ankle in three places too. Madison, Chicago, and Minneapolis.
Cant wait to see Percy next year in a TokyoSandBlaster uniform!! Get real..
Maybe, just maybe Ponder will throw the ball to Rudolf. If not now, when? Another wasted talent on the Vikings roster.
That’d be a packers uniform.
I wouldn’t mind it, but the packers should shore up their o-line and d-line first.
@rmosss
I don’t think you’re using “persevered” properly. Dungy, Billick, and Tomlin have all flourished since they left Minnesota. You’re actually the one who is persevering – although I’m not sure why you bother.
Best thing about lions playing the Vikings? One of these NFC North bottom feeders has to lose.
If the Lion’s are their most winnable game on their schedule, we are looking at 5-11.
It was fun listening to the Viking fans while they were winning, you would think it was 2009 again and they are on their way to the Superbowl, and a game they lost all 4 times when they actually made it that far.
