Cowboys cut Guyton after three days, add a corner

The Cowboys apparently weren’t sure about cornerback Mike Jenkins’ status, so lineback Gary Guyton didn’t get a chance to unpack.

Jenkins is questionable with a back problem, so the Cowboys promoted cornerback Vincent Agnew from the practice squad, according to the team’s official website.

They made the roster spot by making Guyton’s stay a short one. He signed Wednesday and practiced three days before being released. They figured to need him with linebacker Dan Connor (stinger) doubtful, but they’re apparently more worried about having enough cover players than run-stopping inside linebackers.
