So he’s a hot-head on the field and a lousy driver — that’s not the point here. What is the point is that he’s a top 10 pick that hasn’t played like one for two years now. He might get some slack if he had built up any goodwill at all.

If suh was taken later in the draft then it would be okay for him to just be taking on double teams and not making plays for himself. But he was the second overall pick and you have ask for more from a guy making that much money. He should be shedding these blocks and making plays in the backfield.

I don’t know any Lions fans who are disappointed with his play. In my view, all stats are team stats.

I do like how everyone has this phony concern for his play.

Stats can’t really tell you how good a DT. Unless you’re tracking how many double team blocks a player is getting, which is a lot for Suh.

All talk, no walk.
I don’t watch game films, but I’ve watched all but one of the Lions games this year, and Suh hasn’t made an impact in a single one of those games. He’s a very average player at this point, drawing double teams only part of the time, and still not making ANY tackles AT ALL, behind the line, at the line, or beyond. The talent is obviously there, but he disappears week after week, going through the motions.
Legend in his own mind.

When Suh was putting up all these stats the Lions rush defense and defense in general were amongst the worst in the NFL. A DT’s #1 job isn’t to be a pass rusher.

Considering GMC is spearheading the league’s top rushing defense and his stats are better than Suh’s and without the on-field and off-field antics, I’d say he’s doing pretty well. GMC>Suh

I remember when Richard Seymour had a zero stat game. The yahoo radio hosts interviewed Belichick the next day. He said it was the most dominating game Seymour had played as a Patriot. I think the coaches know that they are doing what they are supposed to do, and doing it very well. Vince Wilfork is the same way. Zero stats across the board, but you can see him pushing the interior line in play after play.

nonsense! unless he is a sociopath, he cares at least somewhat what others think and wants to play well. He didn’t do all the weight lifting, practices,etc for nothing. He needs to focus and control his anger/rage.

Suh will not resign with the Lions and he knows it. My guess is this guy wants to be Warren Sapp. No, not on the field, in the broadcasts booth.

I”ve got him going to a big big city team like the Jets or Giants, ya know, madison avenue. He is looking way beyond football right now.

Significantly better? McCoy has 17 tackes and 3 sacks, while Suh has 12 tackes and 3.5 sacks. Not to mention this is McCoys first year of even moderate production. Keep trying though…
