"the Lions’ defense allowed Jarius Wright to get wide open for a 54-yard gain, then allowed him to get open in the end zone for a three-yard touchdown."

How about the Vikings "TOOK" the lead from the Lions to start off the game. Nobody "allowed anything. It was taken!

The NFL has figured out how to neutralize Calvin Johnson. Punish him with headshots, and undercut him when he jumps high. I hope the Lions return the favor the rest of season while they play out the string. When it happens to a team that matters, maybe the League will do something about it.

No surprise here. So far the Lions have edged past a poor Rams team, slipped the struggling Eagles, squeaked past a spunky but under talented Seahawks team and pounded the terrible Jaguars. Meanwhile, a bad Tennessee team and three quality teams have either smacked them around or let them do what they do best: Self destruct. For anyone who has watched the Lions closely, from offseason personnel moves to the game to game performances, it is time to question whether Mayhew and Schwartz have taken the team as far as they can go.
