I always thought this guy was better than Vilma coming out of Miami, and Vilma got more of the hype since he was playing in NY, then NO. While Vilma's play has drastically dropped off over the last couple of years, this dude's still been playing well.

You were always able to tell when him and B-Dawk were out of the game. They meant a lot to this D, more in the on-field leadership they brought with them. He's been a knucklehead of late but i still think he's very underrated. He's still going to get you 100 tackles and is one of the few LB's who can play all three positions well. Denver's D should be better once they fully integrate DJ into their new scheme.

And the Broncos front office continues to impress.

The knee-jerk reaction was to cut DJ, but giving up on a solid linebacker when you have depth issues wasn't a good idea.

Now you get a solid (not great) LB for a fraction of the cost. DJ is a knucklehead but he has a nose for the ball and need to prove himself on the field.

Worst case? Were stuck with high motor/high character Woodyard who continues to make plays!
