Elvis Dumervil to have MRI tomorrow on shoulder

For all the good things that happened this weekend in Charlotte for the Broncos, they won’t be able to enjoy them fully until they hear the results of tomorrow’s medical tests.

Defensive end Elvis Dumervil said he was having an MRI Monday morning on the left shoulder injury that knocked him out of the game.

You have to stay confident, man,” Dumervil said, via Mike Klis of the Denver Post.

“It’s hard to pinpoint what happened at what particular time. We’ll know (Monday) morning and see what happens.”

Dumervil said he felt a strain, but said “nothing popped,” on the back of his left shoulder. He came back for one snap, but wasn’t able to continue.

  1. Hopefully he’s only out for a few weeks and
will be ready to go come playoff time.

Von Miller is a beast, but with Elvis out for a while Von
is going to be double teamed almost every play.

  2. Doom.. if you want to play next week you can. Even if the doctors don’t clear you. Just pull up your shirt and flash your piece! Not.. Favre/Roethlisberger/Chmura style. I mean your gun.

But really.. as much as I like Elvis as a player he seems to be disappearing for small stretches this year. Ayers, this could be your latest chance to prove yourself. I need some reason to believe Moreno/Ayers wasn’t a complete waste of that first round.

The Broncos had 7 sacks against on Newton. Most of the game was played without Doom.
