I think there are a few teams yet with stadium issues (Buffalo, San Diego, Carolina…) and the NFL knows that having LA’s stadium vacant is a their best bargaining chip. I don’t see a team moving to LA until only a team or two are left, when that happens, those teams fans should be worried.

LA as an NFL town is horrible, stop trying to steal other teams when you couldn’t keep a franchise there in the first place. If the city is so awesome then why does every team leave? That city is ran backward, just like the state. 9 billion in debt every year, what a joke.. They should split California into two states.

I am of the belief that the NFL does not want a team in LA right now….why would they? Every single year an owner who wants upgrades or a new stadium throws LA out there and gets what they want. What leverage would these guys have if LA gets a team? Being the 2nd team in LA? Maybe….

I think reality is that LA won’t get a team until each team is closer to state of the art facilities and the league is ready to expand.

The Panthers really don’t even have the option to move and yet they are using LA as leverage! They don’t even have a bottom 15 stadium and they are using LA!

This team is firmly entrenched in Charlotte. Jerry Richardson is a man about legacy. His legacy is in the Carolinas region, the sole purpose for becoming an owner was to bring pro football to the Carolinas region. The financial hurdle he would have to clear to move this team to LA is incalculable. He would first have to sell BOA Stadium, and nobody would buy the venue without a permanent and steady revenue stream to operate it. This is a power play to get local government to kick in cash for stadium renovations and the city counsel would likely vote to help without this power play. To sum up, the Panthers are going nowhere but to Philadelphia for their next road game.

Arthur Blank made a ton of renovations to the GA dome a few years ago with his own money. Jerry Richardson should do the same. Fans already are overpaying for those PSL’s. Use that money.
