Ravens jump to big lead over Raiders

The worst-case scenario for a West Coast  team playing the early start on the road is to fall behind quickly.

That’s exactly what happened to the Raiders, as the Ravens are off to a 10-0 start and looking like they could add to it.

The Raiders made it easy on them to start with, after an offensive lineman stepped on quarterback Carson Palmer’s foot on a fourth-and-one attempt. That led to an easy field goal, and the Ravens just padded it with a short touchdown run by Joe Flacco.

The Raiders, playing without running backs Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson, are going to have a hard time sticking to the run now.
