Bronco fan here. Glad to have Peyton but sorry TT had to leave. Peeps, follow the money. Mark has 13 million guarantee for next season. GM and HC prolly pushed hard for that contract. If TT is a better starter, everybody gets fired. It was easy for Fox to make a change, Orton wasn’t “his” guy. Elway will never admit it, but Tim screwed up his high draft pick plans. Hard to apologize 13 million times.

This McElroy talk is comical. How many teams have a backup who went 8-5 with a playoff win as a starter last season?
“McElroy is young and hungry. He’s a good kid and he’s a champion. He doesn’t cause problems and doesn’t shoot his mouth off for the media all the time. If anyone “deserves” a shot to play, its him.”
–Tebow is also young and hungry, a better kid and a 2-time national champion who was a better college QB in every category than McElroy, who last time I looked hadn’t won an NFL game that counted. And when he didshoot his mouth off, it was to say something detrimental to the team, which Tebow would never do. McElroy was a 7th-rounder for a reason, and it’s not because he’s the next Tom Brady.

Tebow is an unconventional guy who everyone seems to love to pile onto because he doesn’t do all the regular things “they” think he has to to win. But he still goes out on gameday and competes and very often wins.

His ability to run helps both the RBs and WRs, his work ethic and enthusiasm are infectious and he can convince his teammates that they can ALL play better TOGETHER.

Remarkably, in the face of all his haters , all he has done is win.

And most likely Jets ownership brought him in with a warning to Rex and GQ Marky to put up or get out. Woody Johnson may well be letting Rex pull enough rope to hang himself and his job, along with Sanchez- who i see as a career backup while Tebow gradually improves.

If Woody J., Gives Tebow the right support system he might just do what he does- prove the haters wrong.

Woody its time to step in. I am a season ticket holder in Florida as an owner you owe it to the fans to at least make a change. Its time to make a QB switch period.Rex is blind and you have to take control. You have to see what tebow can do…And draft a QB for future.. are you in control come on woody…fans will not continue. to come…make a move….

How fragile is Sanchez’ psyche? He is simply not getting it done in any way and they won’t make a QB change because they don’t want to “ruin” a horrible QB? This team has no heart, limited talent and no leadership. Putting Tebow in fixes two of those problems instantly and at least gives the team a chance. Tebow is not a good NFL QB but he has heart and is a winner. He can find other ways to lead the team to victory. They may not win, but they aren’t winning right now either. They have to know they will be looking for a QB in the draft (or try the kid from ‘bama). Sticking with Sanchez right now is just a stubborn move that has nothing to do with winning football games.

This is typical of Sparano also. He keeps trying the same failed formula and won’t change. Do they make a pill that cures delusion?

I am a jets fan and this is appalling… I don’t care if you think he gives you the best chance to win because he has been so terrible that something has to change. Even if tebow or McElroy are worse at least it shows US the PAYING FANS that you are trying everything. The games have been hard to watch. 9 of 22 with no points offensively coming off a bye is unacceptable. Bench sanchez or get fired please.

If you want to know what being a Jets fan will be like if Rex pulls Sanchez and promotes Tebow, just ask us Steelers fans about the Kordell Stewart years.

Excellent run threat, difficult to contain, makes poor decisions, inaccurate passer. One thing I’ll give Tebow over Stewart is his leadership, as Stewart was always shaky and had trouble settling down often.

If you got an offense that is 100% geared to the run game, then this is your guy. Otherwise, time to visit all the top universities for spring.

As some others have said, this has less and less to do with Tebow’s abilities. This is Rex Ryan saving his job.

If he puts Tebow in right now, he may actually win a few games. If he does that, this season looks like a waste and Ryan’s seat will get hotter.

But if you ride Sanchez out and they lose, you can blame Sanchez and squeeze out one more year, possibly. But say what you want, Tebow looks like he can move the offense. If that happens, the owner may want to keep Tebow and fire everyone else.

John fox was saying the same thing about Kyle orton. “he gives us the best chance to win.” how can you say that when your team is 3-6, orton was 1-4. If you didn’t think the guy could help you win what the f you bring him in for.

I can hear it now, “Favre to the Jets!” Doubt it, the Jets have threw in the towel after today. Sanchez has been given well more than enough chances to be the starting QB and he has failed miserably. Since the season is lost, why not play Tebow. Jets fans will watch simply because of the shock factor, they will want to see what happens with Tebow in. Granted Sanchez is a better passer marginally, Sanchez doesn’t have the athletic ability to play a role of both RB and QB like Tebow. With Tebow QBing, the defense has to be a little more on their toes due to Tebows running ability. Face it though Jets fans, either QB you put in the chamber will come out as a dud, just Tebow is more (dare I say it) watchable.

Not a Jets fan at all however I’d be POed to hear the coach refuse to try to make improvements in their play regardless of how it affects Sanchez. He needs to grow up and get over the fact he’s playing like crap and doesn’t deserve to start.

Ryan is being stubborn beyond acceptable limits. Tannenbaum should order a change at QB, and if Ryan refuses, fire him. If Tannenbaum refuse, Woody should fire him.

Heck, give McElroy a shot. A slim chance of success (Tebow or McElroy) beats the madness of continuing to start a proven loser (Sanchez).

I wish we could go back to post Week 4 when NYJ fans were clamoring about still being tied for 1st after getting annihilated at home by the 9ers.

Any half wit football fan knew that against any somewhat decent NFL team the Jets were in trouble, never mind an elite team. The Jets strong defense the past few years has totally masked the absolute ineptness of the Jets offense, and now the Jets D is in the cellar in most defensive categories…..Good luck Jet fans. Had it not been for Miami’s coach calling a timeout, this team should be 2-7!

Just a question of where you’ll be picking in the top 10 next spring.

Tebow is the better leader, the Jets have no identity, Tebow will fire everyone up on both sides of the ball.

Sanchez does not give your team the best chance to win at this point in the season. He is not in the game at all, you can tell his head is somewhere else.

The Jets need a LEADER, you have one of the best sitting there on the bench waiting to LEAD your team to wins. It’s not rocket science.
