I still don’t think Houston can match up with Denver. If Houston gets home field advantage, Manning beats them in their house.

Except for the fact that the Texans already beat Denver in Mile High 31-25 and two of Denver's touchdowns came in the 4th quarter when the game was already out of hand. Keep on hating.

Ok ... I stand down. On game day, in the heat of the game ... that the Bears should be trying to win - B.U. should congratulate his former (opposing) defensive team members on well done plays. Sounds like a focused killer .. "team instinct" to me. I'm sure Dick Buthus or any of the 85 Bears would do this too. Maybe in the next few games when Cutler gets sacked or slammed to the ground .. B.U. should high five his former team defensive line players. Peace & love. I wonder how Cutler feels about B.U.'s congrats on the INT.

This is more of last year; Cutler out and just replace the word Hanie with Campbell. As a Bears fan watching last night it was like going to the dentist. You know you have to do it but it ain’t pleasant. Will be more of the same against SF and Green Bay and Seattle and maybe even Minn. The Lovie/Tice combo knows as much about offense as I do.

The Chicago media might like Campbell better than Hanie but he sure didn’t show why last night. Against good defensive teams with an OK or better offense that makes few mistakes the Bears appear helpless if the fall behind at all.

More observations:

1.) I don't care what the roster says, the Bears have no tight ends.

2.) Before the game, if someone told me that Schaub would only pass for 90-something yards, the Texans would have no sacks, and that our D would only allow 13 points, I'd have been thrilled.

3.) The Texans had a running game, the Bears had Matt Forte spinning his wheels.

4.) The fumbles by Davis and Bush were bad, Marshall's drop in the end zone was worse.

5.) If the officials don't incorrectly rule an illegal forward pass on that completion to Hester, and you tack on 15 yards for Dobbins' cheap shot, the Bears would have been 1st.-and-goal...And, the way this game was going, ultimately would have settled for a FG.

6.) Jason Campbell, for all his experience as a starter, looked timid...Even his one good play, the 45-yarder to Marshall, failed to generate more than a FG.

7.) Both teams played hard, but in the end, Houston did what good teams do...They made plays when they had to, and made the Bears pay for not doing the same.

8.) 7-2 and still atop the NFC North is not a bad place to be, but if Cutler is out more than a game, the Bears are sunk unless Campbell gets a clue.

The Bears will likely not go very far into the playoffs without a TE. This group of TE's they have is simply pathetic. If I were Cutler, I would take my chance running rather than trying to pass to one of his TE's. It's kinda sad.

Last night, he actually congratulated the other team for a INT on Cutler. Uhhh .. Brian… who do you play for and who is your main fan base?

He was congratulating a former teammate, Danieal Manning who came to the Texans last year from the Bears. A guy who he went to "battle" with (weird to use that term on veterans day"). As far as Urlacher commending another player... what's he supposed to say, that guys a bum, but he smoked us, so we're bigger bums?

Cheap headshot on Cutler ended the game!

_____________________

Cambell outplayed Cutler! Cutler went 7-14 for 40yds in the first half. Chicago scored just as many points with Cutler as with Cambell. Cambell passed for more than twice as many yds. Cutler was doing a good job scrambling, but why don't coaches like their QB's to scramble like that... oh yeah, they get hurt.

I still think that Chicago's D is marginally better than Houston's, but its obvious that Houston has the better offense and is more well rounded.

Chicago got out Chicagoed last night and the Texans went a long way in proving they are a Superbowl caliber team. Luckily, if all goes as planned, every game they play in the playoffs will be indoors!

I submit that Cutler is not good. He is physically talented. There's a difference. People see his great arm strength and athleticism (which is underrated) and thing MAN HE'S A GOOD/GREAT PLAYER. Nope. Usually when that happens it means the guy doesn't work hard or isn't that football smart. I don't think either of those are his issues, but can't put my finger on what is.

"the Texans played the way we have come to expect the top NFC teams to play this year."

Wth does that mean? Who's the top NFC team that plays like this? Not the Bears, they just lost, at home, to the best AFC team. Not the Falcons, their opponents' combined record is one of the worst in the league, plus they lost to a mediocre Saints team. Not the Giants, they just got spanked to a mediocre AFC Bengals team. Not the 49ers, the played a draw to a mediocre St. Louis team. Maybe the Packers, but I don't think their defense could have played this type of a game.

So where are these great NFC teams? I don't think the parody is as much as you're hyping it to be.

This was exactly the kind of game the Bears and their fans wanted. It was a perfect setup.
You just have to give the Texans their due. They played Black and Blue football.

Somehow..writers continue to find a way to bring up the Packers loss..the Texans are 2-1 on primetime games and yet you guys continue to think they are not really that good. One loss to the Packers when Aaron Rogers played his best game of the year. Texans are good, maybe great this year. Accept it.

Houston played well and beat us at our own game, defense and a strong running game...The fumbles by Davis and Bush killed us, and Marshall dropped a TD in the end zone.

A winnable game the Bears didn't deserve to win.

My observations:

Bears O-line gave up Zero sacks!

Jason Campbell is blind and is too safe.

Bears D is exactly as advertised.

Texans is exactly as advertised.

Early on when Cutler was in...if the Texans give you 3rd and 5 3rd and 8 3rd and 7 don't throw into double coverage 45 yards down the field. Get the first!

Kellen Davis needs to hit the unemployment line.

Urlacher needs to consider a life after football. For a man playing for a contract he's disappearing every snap.

You take that back! Even Caleb Hanie can dump the ball off everytime, in a two-minute drill, when you need a touchdown to tie.
