I love how all of the media just completely forgot that Eli led the league in INTs just 2 seasons ago, he has only broke a 90 passer rating twice in his career, and he threw for 4,900 yards last season and only had 29 TDs. This stint of playing poor football shouldn’t come to a shock to anyone who actually follows football.

Justin tuck should have been the first superbowl MVP not Eli. Eli tossed a ton of horrible passes last season that weren’t intercepted now they are. The dude is what he is. took him what 8 years to have a break out season in a league that has put all the rules to make passing the way to go and now he’s back to the old Eli. I mean seriously anyone watch him play hot potatoe with the ball and then toss it like the little kid who don’t want to get hurt playing kill the man with the ball. Giants will finish 8-8

I would hope that this far into his career, we, as Giants fans, wouldn’t still be hearing this. These last 4 weeks have really seemed to be a major regression for Manning.
I will say he seemed a bit more accurate yesterday, though. Unfortunately, he couldn’t catch the ball for VC…he can only put it in his hands.

Eli and particularly the Giants are lucky to be playing in such a weak division where they can lose multiple games while Eli goes through his annual struggles without missing a beat. They’ll still go to the playoffs but it just might be a 9-7 record again.

I agree, Vincent. Geno is a stud. Peko and Atkins were both 4th round picks. Lots of team scouts overlooked those guys.

Here is an idea how about we run the ball for more the 3 yards a carry.

When you have no run game it is much easier to call the D to handle the pass.

Also where was the Giant D yesterday did they miss the plane?

This take isn’t as sexy but the truth is that GENO ATKINS is looking more & more like a young Warren Sapp. Giants couldn’t block him & with 7 sacks on the year (as a DT) not many other teams have either. He’s well on his way to a 2nd straight Pro Bowl.

Brian, one Super Bowl might be luck, or a result of a great defense (see, Trent Dilfer & Brad Johnson). However, 2 Super Bowls are not luck, it’s talent, especially with the fact that their defense was far from stellar last season & they had the league’s worst running game. Also, 2 Super Bowl MVPs can NEVER be an aberration or from luck unless the level of play in the games was deplorable, which it wasn’t. Eli is a GREAT QB, deal with it.

Having watched the game, I think it’s safe to say the entire team got started on their vacation just a bit too early. Eli should not be singled out for that disaster. I didn’t see a single player, beyond Chase Blackburn, that earned his check that day. The entire team, except Chase, should hand their game checks over to hurricane relief – and that includes the entire coaching staff. At least then some good can come out of that debacle. Hats off to Cincy. They came to play football. NY should have just forfeited the game and stayed home. Would have been less embarrassing.

Eli hasn’t been good the last few weeks but he hasn’t been nearly as bad as some of the people on this website say he is… There have been a TON of drops (I’m looking at you, Victor) and the O line hasn’t played well either.

Hopefully these guys get it together before December.

Also as a Giants fan, It’s starting to annoy me how this team just mails it in when it wants to. With the exception of some guys like JPP and Eli, the team always plays down to their level of competition and sometimes just don’t want to play. Frustrating.

people just need to stop all this speculating, subscribe to NFL rewind package and actually look at the film of the game. You have your choice of coaches film and broadcast coverage. Its even condensed into 25 minutes for an entire game worth of film
