Next Monday night’s game between the Bears and the 49ers features a pair of quarterbacks who may miss the game due to concussions.

One of those quarterbacks could be moving closer to playing.

49ers coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters that Alex Smith “slept well last night,” that “things are looking positive,” and that Smith will visit with a neurologist on Monday, via Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com.

Smith suffered a concussion in 2011, but he missed no games. If he can’t play, Colin Kaepernick will get his first career start.

For more from Maiocco, here’s a chunk of Monday’s PFT Live.
