Detroit will be alright at corner when Drayton Florence comes back, he’s a good cover corner that is very good in run support. Wish Buffalo would have cut Aaron Williams instead of Flo.

Apparently you guys weren’t watching Pat Lee in the Bucs game. It was not a pretty sight.

That said, the Raiders defense isn’t that good in the first place so having Lee would not have helped much.

Why the Raiders would cut Pat Lee and keep OL Willie Smith, or DB Matt Giardano is beyond me. Giardano reminds my of a Tecmo Bowl DB. He’s quickly approaching the Stu Schweigert record for number of times he appears on the opposing team’s high light reel. He can infrequently manage to be close enough to make a play, he just NEVER makes one. I just can’t watch it anymore…

Alphonso did make a nice play to advance a punt that the Vikes muffed last week. He’s the least coached player but showed more offensive head’s up than our typical returners. It wasn’t worth a lot but it was a nice break from the norm, hopefully that inspires somebody else to get creative to turn our return units into offensive opportunists.

Rout is a #1…maybe #2 corner. Lions only go after nickel corners and put them in starter roles. They’re cheap like that. Chris Houston, Alphonso Smith, Jacob Lacey…all nickel corners before they came to Detroit.

don’t ask me why the raiders cut lee. Should have cut giordano, and moved huff back to safety, hey but what do I know. (except watching Giordano and Huff making Flacco look like a hall of fame qb yesterday)

It is quite telling that they swooped on Lee with Routt still sitting around.

Big Reg should not have cut Lee with the problems the RAIDERS had against Flacco on Sunday as evidence.
