I can’t believe you ever refereed a game mr wright?!? Put aside your hatred against the steelers and sit there with a straight face and tell me you believe those calls against Pgh in the giants game were good calls? The Ryan Clark hit, the PI call, the roethlisberger fumble? Even mike Pierra said the refs blew those calls.

What disturbs me the most isn’t the comments from the younger fans on this site, but people like you me wright who obviously are grown adults who have watched football for years, and still choose to make comments based upon team hatred and not facts.

I may dislike a certain team or its players, but when it comes to recognizing that those teams are good, or players are good, I have no problem saying so. Smack talk is expected on here, but the blatant lack of knowledge is crazy, and what’s worse is that you’ve posted you were a referee.

Update is he has a sternoclavicular inury. Which involves where the sternum and clavicle connect. That can mean anything from a strain, to a subluxation (seperation), to a complete dislocation. Why it was called an unusual injury, is because it is a very unusual injury, in football or otherwise. As far as recovery…it depends on whether there was any separation or dislocation. THe last player I remember having this was Favre in 2010. That was the injury that finally made him miss a game. Recovery time is listed as 3 weeks to 3 months. Favre missed one game, tried to come back in the next game, but removed himself after 7 passes, and then missed the last 2 games. He’s never played again so we don’t know how long it actually took to heal. And also I’m pretty sure he just had a simple sprain and no separation or dislocation. Take this quote from a medical professional in an article I read…”It’s typically an extremely difficult injury from which to recover fully,” Millett says. “Especially for an overhead-throwing athlete.” I think that Big Ben is going to be out 2 weeks minimum. If he’s dislocated, the season may be gone for him.

I’m a Ravens fan and I’m weary of all the Pittsburgh smack. I would rather beat steelers with Ben playing. That way, no whining and no excuses.
Despite our ridiculous second half schedule, we will still win the division and finish second in the conference. And as for the guy who said he didn’t want to see Pittsburgh have to play at Denver in the playoffs, you couldn’t even beat Tebow in Denver, muchless Peyton.

If Big Ben is out for a couple games they finish as a wild card instead of winning the division.

The biggest concern I would have if I were a Pittsburg fan is if they had to travel to Denver for the playoffs. That would mean no Clark, who is probably their best player in the secondary.

I hate Big Ben due to the fact that I’m from Cleveland. But I’ve never seen him leave a game from an injury and go to the hospital. Dude beat us last year on one freaking leg! I know it’s not saying much since it was the 4-12 browns but still.

It would be a shame if he was hurt badly, he’s having a hellava year. Still, even if he misses a few games, 9-7 probably gets them in. Problem is, that means they would have to go to Denver, NE or Balti, then to Houston in the playoffs. Good luck.

Right, so I guess that would NOT have been the last injury that wasn’t called significant.

Meanwhile, it is remarkable how quickly the separation has been healing. He’s now listed with a shoulder sprain. By tomorrow, it should be a strain. Thursday, a bruise. Friday, a bump. Saturday, it will be all better.

I’m sorry did you forget about Polomalu being hurt? And Clark got shaken up in OT this game? And a LB group that has been in and out of the lineup? As far as I’m concerned, Ray Lewis isn’t a major loss on the field. Webb is our only true loss right now. And you’re D is getting in sync… last 2 games against a NYG team w/o a pass TD in 3 straight and a KC team that … well it’s KC. Meanwhile the Ravens held an improving offensive team in CLE out of the endzone, and demolished an OAK team that beat PIT, without the services of Ngata and Jimmy Smith, our #2 CB. I’d say the Ravens are the team finally meshing.

I realize that 11-5 in other years might not be good enough for a wildcard spot. But this year it will.

Two points from a Pats fan:
1. Ben is certainly a drama queen.
2. That looked like a legitimate injury last night. I would say if he comes back from that one this season, you can remove the “Drama Queen” label from him. Even you think he was faking it, it was pretty clear the team was concerned enough to haul his butt to the hospital right away. I doubt you can get a team to buy in to your acting during the middle of a tight game.
