Yeah, the Jets have been sandbagging all year to beat the Pats. It is all part of the master plan.

Trading for Tebow makes sense if Revis doesn’t go down with an ACL, the defense dominated like they have in the past, and Shonn Greene finally lived up to his potential. Then they would have at least had some of the ingredients that made Tebow so effective in Denver in place. You have something that grabs headlines to start the season, something to push Sanchez to achieve, and someone to come in and deliver a spark if Sanchez tanks. As it stands, I don’t think even plugging in [your favorite elite QB here] makes that a winning team. There are so many more issues than Sanchez that no QB would be successful, let alone a Personal Punt Protector at the position.

Maybe Sanchez could fake a concussion next time he gets sacked. This gives the team a “legit” reason to play Tebow for a game or two…. either it works and they leave him in, or it doesn’t.

It’s just another excuse by the Jets for not playing him. He wouldn’t be any better than Sanchez, but at least he’d be a change, and perhaps the “Tebow is an NFL-caliber quarterback” talk would be put to rest.

No honest person (including the Jets in that locker room) can tell me the offense would have performed any worse this season if Tebow had been starting all along. You are in denial if you think Sanchez actually gives them a better chance to win.
