As a Patriots fan since day one, 1960, I'm not so sure, Tuna. I'd agree the Offense is stronger but, at this point, the Defense looks even worse than last year's. Assuming they can maintain relative health, the Pats can make playoffs but, unless their D gets a whole lot better, they will not get by the really good teams, like GB, SF, ATL, HOU or BALT and PIT, if they get healthier. So far, I don't see the D improving much.

Bill Parcells told Patriots coach Bill Belichick that he believes this year’s Patriots team is better than last year’s AFC championship team.

As a Dolphin fan, I would like to recommend that the Patriots believe and follow everything that this man says.

Nice writeup on the Seattle draft class. Irvin leads rookies in sacks, Wagner is second among rookies in tackles (behind Keuchley), and Wilson leads the five rookie QB starters this year in TD passes.

Also, fourth-round pick Robert Turbin is doing a fine job giving Lynch some rest, and looks to be a viable option if Beast Mode ever has to miss some time.

And to think Mel Kiper and other "experts" were giving Seattle a C- on draft day.
