Okay. Then he was advocating for Greg McElroy to take over. He was clearly advocating for someone to be the starting QB other than Sanchez & if it wasn’t Tebow then it had to be, through process of elimination, Greg McElroy.

i read greene’s comments and it all makes sense. i don’t see why there is controversy. he was neither attacking sanchez nor promoting tebow. he was simply saying that if someone can’t get the job done then give the next guy a chance to see if he can do better. this is the way it _should_ be.

Maybe the Jets should stop worrying about Tebow vs Sanchez and just worry about how BAD they are as a team and concentrate on playing their own positions. The owner, coach and team are a JOKE, always have been its just taken this long to show itself

I’m starting to think this is not Rex’s fault. I think Woody “apt name” Johnson decrees that NYJ are a 3 ring circus. He must not care about the product on the field. Jets fans should not renew season tickets or buy any merchandise going forward until such time he sells the team.

I’d love to know if the guy who called Tebow terrible is a starter. That would take some nerve. You jets starters are 3-6 and not a single bit of that is Tebow’s fault.

Look in the mirror jets starters. YOU are the problem. Not Tebow.

Not many people think Tebow is a great player. The simple fact that fans are advocating that a mediocre player get a start is that mediocre is an upgrade over terrible, which is what you jets starters are.

I give Greene credit for at least putting his name to comments, but guess what Shawn. I could argue you are the Tebow of starting RBs in this league.

What are you smoking? If you are a Jets fan (if you are you are very young) then you do not pay attention or you must have loved the Kotite years under Hess. Since woody took over the team has made the playoffs 6 of the past 11 years with two afc championship games and a few other playoff runs. It has been (by jets standards) a complete success for woody. It is clearly not going well now, but I can’t blame woody. His job is to put the right people in the position, support them, and remove them when they are no longer effective. He has done that every time necessary.

Bottom line I like Rex, he is good for football. But he has to change his methods a little. This ain’t working.

Shonn Greene didn’t advocate for a QB change. Santonio Holmes didn’t get kicked out of a huddle. Brett Favre didn’t expose himself to a sideline reporter.

If they focused on winning football games they might actually become a good football team.

The problem with the Jets is that their skill position players would be 2nd string on many teams. Sanchez,Greene,etc couldn’t start on 2/3 teams in the NFL.

I may not be a Tebow fan but he has nothing to do why the Jets are 3-6 and heading for a 4-12 season.

Looks like another housecleaning for the Jets at the end of the season.

Does it really matter!!! It’s rather obvious that Woody Johnson wanted Tebow for marketing purposes only, Rexy has been “calling the shots in Jetsville since his arrival” and fans elsewhere have been “predicting every year that the Jests would implode each and every year since Rexy and his mouth came to town.” Take away the one year where the Colts laid down to allow the Jests to get into the playoffs and they have did nothing else………………except tell us how great they are each and every year. Rexy likes to remind us how tight of a locker room they always have but….funny…every player to leave the Jests comments how lucky they are to be out of that circus.
