On Wednesday, we pointed out that the franchise tag seems inevitable for Rams receiver Danny Amendola.
Later in the day, Amendola told Erik Kuselias of Pro Football Talk that Amendola would have no problem with that.
“I want to stay in St. Louis, this is my home, this is where I have everything,” Amendola said. “I love St. Louis; I want to be here. I understand that the business aspect may take guys away from where they want to be and it’s some thing to look forward to and it’s gonna be an interesting outcome I’m sure.”
Amendola, who said that the collarbone dislocation that knocked him out for several weeks wasn’t bothering him after the 75-minute (actually, 73-minute-and-37-seconds) overtime game against the 49ers, also shared some advice for pass catcher both professional and amateur.
“Separation at the top of your route will get you open every time,” he said.
It’s slightly easier said than done. For Amendola, it’s become easy enough to get him some hard-earned millions come March, if not sooner. This video is no longer available. Click here to watch more NBC Sports videos!
