I wish the league would go on and just add two more franchises so other cities wouldn’t be held hostage so much by claiming they were considering Los Angeles who couldn’t support the teams they had in the past.

I have no doubts the Vikings weren’t “forthright” because most of the taxpayers in Minnesota weren’t in favor of a new stadium to begin with. Here’s an idea for you. Get rid of the roof and you save millions of dollars right there.

Plus, as much as I hate to admit it, I can think of probably a dozen teams with fans worse, specifically more fair weather, than the Vikings. Vikings fans just tend to be very ‘woe is me’.

I love my Vikes, but would rather owners, who reap the benefits when they sell the team (not to mention all the millions of dollards in profit they make by running the team), pay for their own ventures without taking corporate welfare. Zygi is obviously a much better owner than Red, but he got a good deal from Dayton, the city of Minneapolis, and the legislature and he should honor the spirt of that deal. Which included limited SBLs from the luxury suites and not regular season ticket holders.

I have a friend that works at city hall and know for a fact that it was understood that the SBLs would only be put in place on the luxury suites. Now, they are trying to broaden that to regular seats – who knows what they will try to pull next. Dayton is just calling them to the carpet to keep them in line. I support him fully.

If you’re a conservative, then you can’t believe that public money should be used for private business. And if you’re a liberal, you can’t think that public money should be given to the top one percent. Point being: this sort of thing has virtually no public support but gets rammed through by greedy owners and corrupt pols.

What we have here is a lousy governor grandstanding for the liberal masses that voted for him.

PSLs are not new to Minnesota. The Twins Target Field has sections that had PSLs.

I fully expect some sections in this new stadium to have PSLs.
