Addai as a 3rd-down blitz-pickup back who can slip out into the flat and get a first down could be a good move if he’s in shape and capable. Wilson can’t learn pass protection “on the job” when Eli gets planted if he makes a mistake. Don’t be surprised if Wilson is converted to WR, with a specialty of end-arounds and WR screens to showcase his speed. If the Giants’ coaches are right that he needs to grow up some, RB is not for him – just WR and KR where he has less blocking responsibility.

Not a Giants fan and loved Addai at LSU and Indy but he’s not LT and this story is nuts. If this was leaked, may have been to motivate Wilson to learn pass protection in a hurry.

Why would you draft an RB in the 1st and then not utilize him is beyond me. Especially if you’re looking to sign retreads and hasbeens like Addai or Moore, or never weres like Lumpkin and Torrain.

Addai is only good for pass blocking and Painter is good for a high draft pick.
