ReutersAs expected, Jets running back Shonn Greene took a step back from his “Something’s got to change,” remarks made to Yahoo’s Mike Silver when he addressed the rest of the assembled media Thursday.
Via Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, Greene said his words were “taken out of conext,” and that he didn’t advocate a change.
“I said nothing about Tebow needs to be a starting quarterback,” Greene said.
Nothing against Greene, but this was as predictable as Woody Johnson failing to make things better by talking.
Something was said, and when it gets uncomfortable, the old reliable “out of context” card is the first one played. And because reporters are easy targets, a lot of people buy it.

At this point, does anybody care?
Can we go ONE week without a Jets controversy? Please?
Look what Tebow did for the struggling Broncos last year, it’s definately TEBOW time in NY.

Is it just me or have a bunch of players lately claimed that Michael Silver has taken words “out of context” ?
Perhaps you should stop talking to this guy.
Still haven’t seen Tebow’s name appear in any Shonn Greene quotes. Is this just another attempt by the media to keep Timmy in the “news”?
I think we should just start calling it the “liar” card.
On Dan Patrick Silver said the quote was not out of context
Mr. Darin Gantt – We all kno it was “predictable” as you point out, but so what. The guy makes a few statements and it’s blown out of proportion. How do you expect him to respond?
