APEarlier this week, Chiefs quarterback Brady Quinn said he’d been cleared to play after suffering a concussion against the Raiders last month. The next day, Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel said otherwise.
Now, the player and the team apparently are on the same page.
Quinn has been cleared to play on Sunday against the Bengals, according to Jeff Darlington of NFL Network.
That said, Quinn likely won’t. Matt Cassel is slated to lead the offense against Cincinnati, as the Chiefs try to get their first win at home since December 18, 2011, when they somehow upset the then-unbeaten Packers.

Thank you for this backup QB news. I’m ready for NFL Sunday now.
Can some team that doesn’t suck please give this kid a chance?!?
Romeo o’ Romeo, where is this team going?
“Doctor, can I play on Sunday?”
“Well, Brady, it seems to be you haven’t been particularly able to play on any other Sunday either.”
Heeeeyyyyoooooooo . . .
Matt Cassel is slated to lead the offense
——————————–
I’m trying to figure out how many falsehoods are in that phrase. I’m at three, with the promise of several more–
–”Matt Cassel” and “lead” in the same sentence
–”lead the offense” when referring to a KC quarterback
–”Offense” in something about the Chiefs
Well I guess our only true QB wont get a true shot again this season to show us what he has……As long as we have a GM and coach that keeps letting their huge EGOS get in the way and finally admit that the GM was wrong about failure 1 cassel and the coach failure 2 quinn we cant let the only QB with the best winning % in college STANZI to show us what he can do but we have a GM and coach that has hooked our chiefs band wagon to the same dead horses over and over again
