I think the season ticket holders deserve an explanation for the whole Tim Tebow thing. Whose idea was it?

Anybody could tell you that if your starting QB plays poorly, and you have Tebow on your roster (and choose to not play him), that it would automatically become a huge distraction and your team would ultimately implode.

Furthermore, whose idea was it to give Sanchez a gigantic raise? Did anyone not watch him perform his first 3 seasons? He has been nothing but atrocious.

The house definitely needs cleaned.

Woody Johnson’s biggest flaw is that he’s an NFL owner in the same city as John Mara. Johnson is an heir; Mara is running the almost-90-year family business – and Mara knows a bad team affects his bottom line far more than a bad Jets team affects Johnson’s.

While the Jets crowed about losing consecutive AFC championship games, the Giants won two Super Bowls. Mike Tannenbaum can’t hold a candle to Jerry Reese as far as personnel decisions. Rex Ryan dreams of having the head coaching career on Tom Coughlin’s resumé.

The 6-4 Giants are being criticized for lackluster play because fans and media feel they should be a division winner going away. The 3-6 Jets are being viewed as “same ol’ Jets” because they don’t have a history of success and their ongoing circus is par for the course.

The Jets have a chance at winning only when…
- Woody Johnson backs out of the spotlight
- he turns football operations to a seasoned professional VP/GM
- they hire a coaching staff with a clear vision for the offense and defense, led by a head coach who controls all facets of his team
- they get quality players who will do whatever it takes to succeed

Well now the election is over, Woody can make winning his #1 priority again…unfortunately it’s too late. His team is losing and players are turning against each other, both current and ex.

I feel compelled to remind you that Cowher coached the Steelers for 15 years, and appeared in only 2 Super Bowls, winning one. But hey, knock yourself out. Matter of fact, go ahead and get him, so there will be one less team competing with my Panthers for Chip Kelly.

His locker room is a mess, maybe he should sort that out. It’s no different to last year, it’s time to fire Rex, and Tony Sparano sucks too. Tony is responsible for the ” wonderful” playing of Tebow.

Good and bad owners all care about the money and filling seats. The difference is good owners realize that winning will ultimately raise revenue in the long term and sensational moves like getting Tebow will ultimately fill seats for 1 year max.

Good old Woody must not be familiar with the jets history of being a under .500% winning franchise. They rank at the bottom of the AFC East in playoffs wins, AFC Titles and every other metric. 1 snif at the Super Bowl 43 years ago doesn’t inspire his nonsense either.

He certainly did sign up for a 3-6 team. He employed the people that employed other people to arrive with this set of coaches and players that resulted in a 3-6 team, it’s all his doing based upon his choices of what he signed up for. So I accept his opinion about everything he has to say except that part which is refutable about what he signed up for.

As a die hard Fin Fan our Ownership, General Management, Coaching Staff etc. has been suspect as of late but I love the Jests because their whole team from Ownership down to the waterboy makes the Fins look like a bunch of geniuses, like they just invented the cure for the common cold. At the end of the day the reason Mr.Johnson forced Tebow on the Jets because he thought it would be seen as a gesture when forcing fans to pay more for the seats to watch a Sub-par product on the field.

At the end of the day every owner is a Business man here to make profit, while their are owners to actually care that their team wins, there are a majority of owners who dont care about their team and are only concerned with making a profit.

I’m a Seahawks season ticket holder, and I’ve seen teams like the rams and cardinals and for many years the 49ers come to seattle and play poor football. (not trying to slam those teams but we know the story of the NFC west over the years).

That being said I’m not sure I’ve seen an offense so completely unexciting, innefective, and lost as what the jets put on the field sunday.

for an owner that talks so much about a commitment to winning, you sure have taken a winner and turned it into a real loser.

Ok ,woody here is your the answer you seek in winning with a pro team. first, call Parcels and set up a meeting with him ,a instruction writer and Rex Ryan .put them all together for a week ,and write a book on “how to build ,manage and be a head coach”.Second the players are employees ,put it in their contracts to shut the hell up and only say what is approved to say to the media by the jets media liaison. Lastly call don Trump about how to restructure a business , he may be nuts to the world but no one can argue that his ability to reinvent the wheel isn’t top notch.

Actions speak louder than words. If Tannebaum and Ryan are packing up their offices and leaving town the Monday after the last game of the season, he might care about winning.

If not, he probably doesn’t.
