For the past three weeks, Dolphins linebacker Karlos Dansby has been listed on the injury report as probable with a biceps injury. As it turns out, Dansby has a torn biceps.

That’s what Dansby said on his weekly WQAM radio appearance, with Jorge Sedano.

Dansby explained that he’s wearing a large brace that keeps him from raising his arm. Dansby says he has been playing with it for only three weeks. Specifically, he says it happened during the second quarter of the Jets game in New York, on October 28.

Each week since then, Dansby has appeared on the injury report.

Dansby also said he has a dislocated finger on the other hand, and that it pops out “every other play.”

He said the pain from preparing to play is worse than the pain he endures while playing, but Dansby scoffed at the idea of sitting out.

Dansby claims it’s healing, and that he could be out of the brace within a week and a half.

“I’m the best,” he said, “that how I feel. And I’m proving it by doing it with one arm. . . . Most guys would have sat out. Most guys would have went and had surgery.”

Dansby pointed out that plenty of guys have played with a torn biceps muscle. That doesn’t make it any easier, but that’s the challenge he has embraced.
